Reviewing and approving work

Review a prepared change and decide when it should go ahead.

Nuxie prepares a Proposal when work needs your approval. It brings the change and its settings together so you can see what will happen before it goes ahead. You can approve the work, decline it, or ask Nuxie to make changes first.

Proposal details

A publish Proposal includes the Experience you’re publishing, the app that will receive it, and the delivery settings. Open the Project to look through its screens and try the interactions in Preview.

Design and destination

The Project revision identifies the design and behavior included in the publish. The app and environment determine where it will be available. This lets you review a particular version while keeping track of whether it’s intended for testing or live users.

Delivery and measurement

The trigger and audience determine when the Experience appears and who can receive it. The recurrence and schedule control return visits and availability. If there’s a conversion goal, the Proposal also includes the outcome and the time window used to measure it.

A publish may include Products, Experiment variants, or traffic allocations. The Proposal shows these alongside the Experience. It also explains changes to shared resources, such as an audience used by several Experiences, so you can account for their effect elsewhere in your app.

Approve or deny

Choose Approve to proceed with the Proposal or Deny to decline it. A publish shows as a card that leads with the screens it publishes. Choose Publish, or the × to turn it down; Details shows the exact revision and ids. When you publish from the editor yourself, pressing Publish in the publish menu is the approval.

If you want to change something first, reply in the Task:

Keep the annual-plan design, but publish to the test audience first. Leave the live Experience unchanged.

Nuxie prepares a revised Proposal for you to approve. It may also need to refresh a Proposal when the Project or relevant live settings have changed since it was prepared.

For a Proposal attached to a Report, Deny and dismiss Report declines the change and closes the Report. Work you’ve already approved continues separately.

Reviewers and permissions

Use Suggested reviewers to bring a Report to the attention of the right workspace members. Reviewers keep their existing permissions; the person approving a change must have permission to carry it out.

Execution

After approval, Nuxie starts the action and shows its progress. For a publish, the Experience becomes available for delivery when the status reaches Published.

If the action fails, open the result in the Task to see what happened and continue from there. A different proposed change needs a new review and approval.

See Publishing an Experience for publishing progress, or Versions and updates to update an Experience that’s already live.
