Automations
Have Nuxie repeat useful work on a schedule or in response to an event.
Automations let you ask Nuxie to do work again without sending the same request each time. Schedule a weekly review, check back on an Experiment, or start an investigation when a connected service sends an event.
Each Automation has instructions describing the work and a trigger that determines when it runs.
Scheduled Automations
Create a scheduled Automation by asking Nuxie in a Task. Include the work, the app or account to use, and the schedule with its time zone:
Every Monday at 9 a.m. Pacific, compare last week’s onboarding completion with the week before. Explain the largest changes and prepare recommendations.
You can ask for a new Task on each run, which works well for separate weekly reviews. To follow work already underway, ask Nuxie to return to the current Task. For example, it can check the results of an Experiment in the same conversation where you prepared it.
To change the work or its timing, ask Nuxie to update the Automation by name. You can refine its instructions as you learn what you want from each run.
Connector events
Create an event Automation from Automations to start work when a connected service sends an event. The available events depend on the provider and account you’ve connected. An event may have additional settings to limit it to a particular app or other provider resource.
Choose the event
Open Automations and choose New automation. Select the connected account and event.
Describe the work
Enter a name and instructions for Nuxie, then complete the event’s configuration fields.
Create the Automation
Choose Create automation to save it.
Finish provider setup
If Finish provider setup appears, copy the generated webhook URL into the provider’s settings, then choose Done.
For events that need a webhook, the provider uses that URL to send events to the Automation. Other events finish setup when the Automation is created. If no events are available, connect a service first.
Automation events start work for Nuxie. To show an Experience to a user in your app, configure an Experience trigger.
Manage an Automation
The Automations list shows which items are active or paused and whether their last run failed. Open an Automation’s menu to manage it.
Pause and resume
Choose Pause to stop future runs while keeping the instructions and trigger. Use Resume when you want it to run again.
Provider setup
For an event that uses a webhook, Copy webhook URL gives you the endpoint to add to the provider’s settings. You can return to this action if you need to update the provider configuration.
Delete
Choose Delete and confirm to remove an Automation you no longer need. If you expect to use it again, you can pause it instead.
Run history
Choose View run history to see the ten most recent runs. Each entry shows when it was scheduled, its status, and when it finished. Waiting to start means the run is queued; failed runs include an error message.
If an event Automation hasn’t run, check the selected account and event, then the provider’s webhook delivery. For a failed run, the error helps you identify whether Nuxie couldn’t reach the service or encountered a problem doing the work.
An Automation follows the same approval process as a Task you start yourself. Nuxie can repeat the work you’ve requested and prepare changes for you to review; scheduling the work doesn’t approve those changes in advance.
